Wedding videography in Italy
Castello di Celsa wedding in Tuscany
As an international wedding filmmaker, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to beautiful places around the globe, but very few compare to Castello di Celsa in Tuscany, Italy. It’s simply breathtaking. A 13th-century castle nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, just outside Siena. Surrounded by lush Italian gardens, ancient woodlands, and gorgeous views of the Tuscan countryside, the castle is a true masterpiece of history, combining medieval charm with Renaissance refinement.
Janzen and Paolo are both from the Philippines, but to them, Italy was an obvious choice when they started planning their destination wedding. They really wanted their wedding film to be more than just a document of their day, and asked me to use my creative vision to bring to life the location, and put them and their guests centre stage of this magnificent venue. When they first contacted me, Janzen mentioned how they fell in love with Italy, and Tuscany specifically, so it was really important to them that the location was featured heavily in the film.
Janzen and Paolo’s wedding at Castello di Celsa was not only a celebration of their love, but also a beautiful blending of cultures. Coming from the Philippines, family and tradition were at the heart of their wedding day, and it was touching to see how these values harmonised with the timeless elegance of an Italian setting. Their guests traveled from across the world to join them in Tuscany, bringing a warmth and sense of togetherness that filled the castle grounds. This cultural fusion gave their destination wedding film a depth that felt truly international: a story rooted in Tuscany’s history, yet alive with the vibrancy of their Filipino spirit.
A strong artistic decision when filming and editing was to use the ceremony as a driving thread throughout. Every moment of this film leads to the ceremony, whether it’s the bridal preparation in the morning or the guests arriving and strolling around the castle. Castello di Celsa is ever-prominent in their wedding film, not just as a backdrop but as a living character that shapes the narrative. The towering stone walls, stunning gardens, and golden Tuscan light create a cinematic canvas that allowed me to frame Janzen and Paolo’s love story in the most authentic way.
My approach as a destination wedding filmmaker is always to balance the grandeur of the venue with the intimacy of the couple’s emotions, ensuring that both are given equal weight on screen. The result is a timeless Italy wedding film that reflects not only the beauty of Castello di Celsa, but also the joy, elegance, and deep connection Janzen and Paolo share.
If you’re planning a destination wedding in Italy and searching for an international wedding videographer who can capture your story with artistry and intention, Castello di Celsa is the kind of place where dreams and films are made.
