My style as a UK and Destination wedding videographer

How I craft a story that is unique to you.

Your wedding film is a romantic tale, and so much more than just a styled shoot. I take great pride in crafting a narrative that is unique to you, your relationship, and your day. You are at the heart of your own story, but your day is filled with so many other intimate moments, too. The location of your wedding also plays a crucial part in this: whether it’s a UK wedding, or a destination wedding, your relationship always takes centre stage within your wedding film, but I always deliver an artistic piece that reminds you of how you and the location felt on the day.

I’m very minimalist with the kit I carry on the day, as I like to go unnoticed, and let the day unfold in front of my lens. That’s how I capture the candid, authentic moments. A cinematic wedding film does not need to be staged, it’s a process that combines my unobtrusive shooting style, flair for composition, editing approach, and music selection.

I love cinema, and it inspires everything I do. But on the day of your wedding, it’s never about me. I always aim to capture the moments that made you feel something. Your wedding day is a deeply personal and intimate occasion, and my approach is centered around understanding your unique story.

Your story is unique, but my style is consistent, and can be described in 3 words:

  1. Cinematic: I deliver creative and artistic films, but I never turn it into a big production on the day. I capture the big, and the small moments. They’re what make your day. All of this is then carefully edited to music, in sync with the video, to tell the story of your wedding.

  2. Emotive: My films are warm, both in colours but also emotions. I love capturing the interactions between people on the day, and always do so from the perspective of a guest. I always use the speeches as a voice over to tell your story, as this is the most personal and intimate part of your wedding.

  3. Timeless: I deliver wedding films that look and feel modern, but my style suits all weddings. Whether you’re planning a romantic affair, a luxury wedding, barn and farm wedding, city centre wedding, destination wedding. If want your wedding story told, I’ll deliver epic wedding films.

Joce listened to what we wanted and his vision is outstanding. His laidback approach put us at ease. Definitely recommend for any couples getting married.”

Cinematic

I’m a cinematic wedding videographer, so my films are inspired by cinema. This is reflected in the way I capture the footage on the day, as well as my editing style. But my main priority at your wedding is to let everything unfold before me, and let the framing do the work. I don’t chase the shot, I let things happen in front of my camera, as it’s the most natural way to convey the story. I use different techniques to deliver a cinematic experience, including drone footage or even sound design.

Emotive

If there’s one thing I love to convey in my films, it’s emotion. I want to pull on your heart strings, whether it’s conveying love, laughter, a party, or simply capture your imagination. As a story-teller, I want to grip you from within, which is why your speeches are at the heart of your film. Hearing the voices of your nearest and dearest create a unique connection between what you’re watching, and what you’re listening to.

Timeless

My wedding films are for the modern couples, but my style is accessible to anyone. I love what I do, because everything is bespoke. I want to create something unique, romantic and elegant, and it’ll always start with you. If you want someone to capture your day through an artistic, timeless lens, then I would absolutely love to hear from you.

Your wedding story, told.

Each wedding film is structured like a short movie. The film is always inspired the speeches; whether it’s the relationship between the bride and her father, or the unique friendships with your bridesmaids, or the special bond you have formed with your friends over the years. My wedding videography style is about crafting something bespoke, for what is a once-in-a-lifetime day for you. This approach applies to all weddings, whether you’re looking for an experienced UK wedding videographer, or Destination Wedding videographer.

I’ll use the speeches as the driving narrative behind your wedding video. Whoever is speaking on the day is important to you. And the words they say are personal to you. That’s how my wedding videography style brings those magical moments back to life.

I’m very relaxed, both in life, and in anything I do. I always have a smile on my face, and I produce work that speaks to who I am as a person. I’m naturally drawn to people. In life, and on the wedding day. So, to me, a big part of wedding videography is about people and their interactions.

I’m very minimalist in my kit, and I shoot handheld 99% of the day. The only time I don’t is during the speeches and ceremony. I like the flexibility it gives me to capture things quickly, in the moment. And it fits my ethos perfectly, to create emotions and memories on your wedding day which are unscripted. Real. natural.

Reliving the magic of a wedding through every frame captured. A beautiful tapestry of love, laughter and cherished moments’.

What makes a good wedding film

To me, wedding videography needs three ingredients to make a really good wedding film. And I apply them in all of my films:

  1. The audio & sound design: When watching your wedding film, you want to be taken back to those little moments. It needs to feel like your wedding day all over again. This include ambient sound, soundtrack, as well as the wedding speeches or vows. A story is told. And who better to tell your story than yourselves? The spoken words quite literally tell the story within my wedding films.

  2. The story: All weddings are unique, so the wedding film has to be bespoke too. It’s yours. And that’s based on your, and your story as a couple. Your wedding story is a huge part of who you are, it brings all the people you love the most together. The story-telling part of any wedding film has to be really personal, inspiring, loving.

  3. The footage: the composition, how you shoot on the wedding day. It’s impossible to tell the right story without the right footage. A wedding day is completely off-script. None of what I do is directed. You do you! That’s the only way to make something creative and engaging
