Niamh and Dan’s emotional day at White Dove Barns.
I’ve known Niamh for 10 years, since we used to work together. Skip forward to 2023, and I feel so fortunate to have captured her wedding on film. A stunning day, and an amazing setting for a wedding.
Niamh and Dan hired White Dove Barns for the entire weekend, with friends and family arriving the night before the wedding. Some of Niamh’s nearest and dearest flew all the way from Ireland, and even America, to celebrate with them in Suffolk.
Their ceremony was outside, in the grounds, on one of the UK’s hottest days in the summer of 2023. Following drinks reception, Niamh even sang at the wedding, in front of the whole wedding party.
Both Niamh and Dan are private people, and have kept a very special relationship with some of their closest friends. One of her bridesmaids, Cassie, delivered the most beautiful, emotional and personal speech I’ve seen. I used their relationship - and Cassie’s speech - as the thread for their wedding film. Their story is about people and what it really means to be a friend. It is rare in life that we take the time to tell each other about what we really mean to one another. Friendship is about joy, laughter, accepting your friend for who they are. We love and miss each other at the same time. That’s what being a best friend is.
