Lake Como, often referred to as the "Pearl of the Italian Lakes," provides a dreamlike backdrop for any wedding. Surrounded by lush gardens and serene waters, Villa Regina Teodolinda is the epitome of a dream wedding venue. As you enter the villa, you're greeted by charming architecture and a sense of timeless beauty that sets the stage for unforgettable moments. The villa is magical and offers a variety of picturesque locations for your wedding ceremony. From the romantic balconies to the lakeside gardens and authentic features of its building, Villa Regina Teodolinda offers an array of stunning backdrops.
As a destination wedding videographer, I absolutely love filming on Lake Como. It’s a setting that always delivers epic views, and suits my style of cinematography really well. I love the idea that I’m not just capturing a wedding day, but I’m capturing an experience. My cinematic approach means that your love story takes centre stage, but I always embrace the essence of the destination, incorporating its unique elements into your wedding film. This adds an authentic touch to your story, ensuring it's never just a wedding but a celebration of your love. Rebecca and James’ day at Villa Regina Teodolinda
I had the privilege of documenting Rebecca and James' love story on Lake Como. From the grandest moments to the most intimate, my goal was to ensure that every emotion and detail is captured, and tell their story whilst fully embracing the unique location.
Rebecca and James both live in London, and wanted their special day to bring together friends and family — some of which travelled from far and wide to be with them. They had guests who had travelled from New Zealand, South Korea, San Diego, New York. The list goest on. They had planned their destination wedding as a special opportunity to be reunited with all of their loved ones.
The choice of Villa Regina Teodolinda as their wedding venue was nothing short of perfection. Rebecca and James radiated joy, which is evident in their wedding film, and it was clear to me from the moment we met that their day would be a heartwarming celebration.
Rebecca’s long time friend conducted a heartfelt and very intimate outdoor ceremony, that overlooked the glistening waters of Lake Como. Guests then made their way to the beautifully adorned reception area at Villa Regina Teodolinda. This gave me a unique opportunity for me to capture authentic moments between the couple and their guests, surrounded by nothing but water and mountains.
When we discussed their wedding film with Rebecca and James, their vision aligned fully with the location: adventurous, romantic, Italian vibes . They wanted the video to reflect their personality, and capture the unique backdrop they had chosen for their wedding day. I think their wedding film delivers on all front. I wanted each shot to be meticulously composed to tell a story of love, unity, and joy, in this incredible destination that is Lake Como.
